Iya Therapy and Wellness welcomes all individuals. We are a culturally competent and LGBTQ safe practice.
As a practice that also specializes in women's wellness, we understand navigating the many complexities of life and womanhood can be daunting. Iya Therapy and Wellness was created to offer a safe space to help empower women to be the version of themselves they inspire to be.

Meet Dalaisé
Dalaisé Hickey is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience working with adults and teens, specializing in anxiety, depression and women’s issues including perinatal mental health. Dalaisé obtained both her Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work and obtained her graduate degree from Fordham University in 2008. Before transitioning to private practice in Connecticut, she spent 15 years as a social worker in New York City working in both forensic and clinical social work, supporting diverse communities through challenging life circumstances. Dalaisé was awarded Hartford Business Journals Top 25 Women in Business award in 2024 for her entrepreneurial work. She is a mother, entrepreneur and passionate about empowering women. Dalaisé provides compassionate, holistic care tailored to help clients build resilience, navigate life transitions, and achieve personal growth.
Kate Zvonek
LPC
Kate is a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 15 years of experience supporting children, teens, and women in navigating life’s challenges with compassion and clarity. She specializes in anxiety, depression, coping strategies, and body positivity work. Through a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness-based techniques, Kate helps her clients feel more present, empowered, and connected to themselves.
Kate creates a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their emotions, develop practical tools, and build a stronger sense of self. She believes that everyone has the capacity to grow and heal which often happens in the small, everyday moments.

Johana Valentin
LPC-A
Johana Valentin is a compassionate therapist dedicated to creating a safe, affirming space where clients feel seen, respected, and supported. Passionate about women’s wellness and culturally responsive care, Johana draws from her own healing journey and Latina heritage to help clients navigate the complex intersections of identity, culture, and emotional well-being. She specializes in working with college students, adults, and individuals within the LGBTQIA+ and Latino/Hispanic communities, supporting those managing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma. Johana integrates holistic approaches with evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Mindfulness. Her work centers on collaboration, empowerment, and helping clients build confidence as they move toward healing and self-discovery.
